Have you ever been frustrated trying to obtain perfectly flat seam lines when sewing a garment?
In this short video we would like to show you how to effectively iron your seams when sewing a garment. It is extremely easy and quick.
In order to do this you need a nice iron board with a cushion, a steam iron, and a magical piece of wood called the tailor’s clapper, but if you don’t have one handy, do what we did and find a piece of wood at a local supply store. Let’s get started!

Now press the seam with steam.
Quickly remove the iron while it’s still steamy and hot, apply the wooden piece on the seam and hold it for 5 seconds, then release.
Note:
Repeat the same process on the other side of the fabric.
